Terms of service

Tekniti terms of service

Last updated: 10 July 2026 · Draft pending legal review.

This is a working draft for review and is not yet a binding legal agreement. It will be finalised with our solicitors before public launch.

1. Who we are

Tekniti is operated by Tekniti.AI Ltd ("Tekniti", "we"), registered in England and Wales (registered address: 30 Aldwych, London WC2B 4BG, United Kingdom). By creating an account or using the service you ("the customer") agree to these terms.

2. The service

Tekniti provides software to help UK letting agents and landlords track and discharge their compliance obligations. It includes automated reminders, statute-referenced guidance, document generation and an AI assistant.

3. Not legal advice

Tekniti is decision-support software, not a substitute for professional legal advice. Statutory references, penalty figures, notices and AI answers are provided for guidance only and may not reflect your specific circumstances or the latest law. You remain responsible for your legal compliance and should take qualified advice on contentious matters before acting.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate data and keep your account secure.
  • Ensure you have a lawful basis to upload tenant and third-party personal data, and comply with your own data-protection duties.
  • Review anything the AI proposes before confirming it.
  • Use the service lawfully and not attempt to disrupt it.

5. Fees & trial

Paid plans begin with a free trial; a payment method is required and you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel. All prices are in GBP and inclusive of VAT at the prevailing UK rate; your invoice shows the VAT element separately. Fees, plan limits and cancellation are described at sign-up and in Settings → Billing. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If a payment fails we will notify you and may suspend access after 14 days of non-payment.

6. Data protection

We process personal data as described in our Privacy notice. Where we process tenant/property data on your behalf we act as your processor under a Data Processing Agreement.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tekniti is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for losses arising from your reliance on guidance without appropriate professional advice. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period.

8. Termination

You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate for material breach. On termination you can export your data (Settings → Data & privacy) and may request erasure, subject to records we must retain by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
